National AIDS Strategy

Today the Obama Administration released the President's National HIV/AIDS Strategy (NHAS) and an accompanying implementation plan. The primary goals of the NHAS include: reducing HIV incidence; increasing access to care and optimizing health outcomes; and reducing HIV-related health disparities.

U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius today announced final rules to help improve Americans' health, increase safety and reduce health care costs through expanded use of electronic health records (EHR).

New York Rehabilitation and Nursing Center Agrees to Serve Patients Who Are Deaf or Hard of Hearing

Under an agreement announced today by the Office for Civil Rights (OCR) at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing will be provided equal access to a nursing and rehabilitation facility in New York State and will be provided interpretation services when necessary for effective communication.
