Stats and Facts

Part of MMS's responsibility in managing offshore public lands is providing the public with technical information about offshore activities. We collect data on all facets of the offshore program and publish them online in various forms (i.e., OCS Fact sheets, OCS-Related Incidents, and Production Table comparing OCS Federal oil and gas production to the U.S. total.) We also publish maps and Geographic Information System (GIS) data.

In addition to information about our offshore program, MMS provides a wealth of data on its revenue collection activity on public lands through our Minerals Revenue Management Program. Our regional offices also provide information specific to the operations in the Gulf of Mexico, Alaska and offshore California as shown in the table  below.
