About Me:

A Unified Command has been established to manage response operations to the April 20, 2010 Deepwater Horizon incident. A Unified Command links the organizations responding to an incident and provides a forum for those organizations to make consensus decisions. This site is maintained by the Unified Commands Joint Information Center (JIC), which provides the public with reliable, timely information about the response.

1) How did I end up as a "subscriber" to this vile feed and
2) How do I unsubscribe? (As I am not finding anyway to "manage"/aka "unsubscribe" from this repugnant account.
You're a evil lot. From this day forward, let it be your policy (irrespective of any "evil" regulatory impetus to do so)...if you're going to drill in the ocean, do be drilling a relief well at the very same time that the drilling of your prized main well commences.

if we can build a wall for a dam ,why can't we square off the leak above the water and a shut off valve closing both end of the leaks sucking out the water and oil, then repair the hole.

I have a design, model and a video of a device that can theoretically stop the leak in the gulf.
I will develop this assembly if BP will install it. I do need the size of the recently cut riser pipe, 4", 6", 8"? What is the size of the Flange 10", 12" 14"? How much larger is the riser pipe where it is welded to the flange? This assembly can be developed in 3-5 days, please, let's end this crisis.

DeepWaterHorizon , but you saw my new project of containment ? I made other changes , I bet it works
wrint to adress bar "alexblustar dome" (I have improved even more this form, I have a PDF file, if you want to see it from your engineers send me the ok, maybe a few million gallons of oil you can prevent from escaping into the sea)

We applaud BP's ingenuity, dedication and hard work toward solving this potentially catastrophic oceanic mishap and hope future efforts are equally successful, plugging the remaining holes where crude oil leaks are still a concern.
Hopefully soon, the disaster will be over and forgotten and our beloved BP can move on to other shores and other more profitable oil-rich waters in hopes to once again satisfy rich new undersea yields that will make both shareholders and gasoline users leap for joy!

11 people died. I doubt many people would sacrifice their lives to sabotage the rig and cause this. More generally, people that are willing to apply themselves to provide an equal exchange for their services and make a contribution to the civilization they choose to depend upon are decent people and less likely to commit hideous crimes. These are educated knowledgeable people working with these technologies. Such people tend to be more capable of appreciating the efforts and contributions of others and dont hold a grudge at an emotional level which seems to me what makes people callous and cruel. This is a very competitive industry as our competitors not only have most of the oil rich land, but have also been enslaving the west and others for thousands of years. The situation is desperate and educated people know it. Just some thoughts. Some more valid than others I'm sure. Take what you will.

Consider this though. The accident that caused the damage to the annular supposedly happened 4 weeks before the explosion. Sachs shorted on TransOcean 3 days before the explosion. Wouldn't they have shorted earlier rather than making it obvious. I would say that the worst they did was to short on TransOcean as a hedge against future costs of a POTENTIAL catastrophe. I dont thing the evidence is sufficient to assert the whole thing was planned. Certainly worse crimes have been committed, but the evidence is insufficient here. I would want to know what happened to the man that caused the drill bit to move against the annular and break it to begin with. That would be the smoking gun.
