Pathfinder Reservoir Flows Over the Uncontrolled Spillway at Pathfinder Dam - Inflows to the Pathfinder Reservoir from a combination of snow melt and a severe rainstorm increased reservoir water levels to capacity, which allowed for water to be released over the uncontrolled portion of the spillway for the first time since 1984. UV Light System Installed on Hoover Dam Cooling Water System - Leonard Willett, Regional quagga mussel coordinator at Hoover Dam, has announced that Hoover Dam has completed the installation of a quagga mussel control system. The system involves a field demonstration of ultra violet (UV) light for preventing mussel settlement in the dam’s cooling water systems.
