On the watch for illicit drugs

Operation Apothecary team scans the mails in a Miami facility to look for illicit drugs being smuggled into the country. The Apothecary team, which includes Customs and Border Protection, Drug Enforcement Administration, and the Food and Drug Administration, looks for potential vulnerabilities in the entry process that might allow for the smuggling of commercial quantities of unapproved, counterfeit and adulterated pharmaceuticals through the Internet, foreign mail and express courier facilities.
