Trident rubber reported approx. 265 defective trident marine LP gas 20 inch pigtail hoses manufactured by M.B. Sturgis Inc. have been distributed to marine retail outlets and possibly sold to customers.  Failure of this product could cause an LP gas (propane) leak, and possible fire or explosion.  These pigtail hoses are connected to LP gas tanks and used to supply on-board LP gas appliances, such as galley stoves and heaters.  The defective product is black, with a large, left-hand threaded male fitting on one end, and a small brass inverted male flare fitting on the other.  It has a silver-colored metal collar (ferrule) crimped onto each end with "M.B.
