The Barrington Unit District 220 community is reeling from the weekend death of a Barrington High School special education teacher who had been expected back from her 12-week maternity leave Monday.

A new art program is about to take flight in Buffalo Grove. Bloomin' Buffalo Grove is an initiative of the Buffalo Grove Arts Commission. It features works produced by artists in the community, amateurs and students as well as professionals, said Carol Berman, the village's liaison to the commission.
