With the release of the 1st quarter 2007 Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages, we will be using the new 2007 North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) industry definitions. Thirteen sectors are the same as the current code structure and seven sectors will be different. The most significant revisions are in the Information Sector, particularly within the Telecommunications area. No revisions will be made to data classifications prior to 2007, so a series break will occur. For more information on the new 2007 NAICS code changes, see the following web link. http://www.census.gov/epcd/www/naics.html |
