DALLAS — Dallas police say a fleeing vehicle struck and wounded a police officer Thursday evening, leading to a brief pursuit.

The chase started around 6 p.m. at the Carlisle Apartments in the 5700 block of East University Boulevard as police responded to a burglary in progress call.

One of two officers was hit as a red Honda sedan with three suspects sped away.

Dallas and Highland Park officers chased the car as it went through stop signs at a high rate of speed — until the suspects drove up on a sidewalk, hit at least one tree and bailed out at Mockingbird Lane and the Dallas North Tollway.

They were captured following a brief foot pursuit.

The injured officer was treated at the scene for what were described as minor scrapes and bruises.

U hope your talking about the perps and not the officers?

They have been on a role lately, I wish they would have killed the perps instead of catching them. It saves us all a lot of money...

Three more junkies we will have to feed, bed and entertain until they are release and will be back on the streets!!! Can we give police officers more bullets? Also, can somebody explain me what the word "freeze" means in America? It seems it has changed its meaning to 'run as fast as you can"... well, I am glad I am not a police officer... any suspect running from me would get a bullet in their ASSet... no life-threatening... just painfully enough for education purposes!!! I think I need to apply for a position!!!!
