Newest Trade Sends Anderson to Braves
The Houston Astros announced Friday that the club has acquired right-handed pitcher Oscar Villarreal from the Atlanta Braves in exchange for outfielder Josh Anderson. Anderson, 25, hit .358 with three doubles and 11 runs batted in during 21 games with the Astros in 2007. He played in 132 games at Triple A Round Rock, hitting .273 with two home runs, 43 RBI, and 40 stolen bases. [Full Story]

Santangelo Opens Up In Hawaii
Former Carolina League All-Star Lou Santangelo belted his first home run of the fall and drove in a career-high five runs over the weekend as North Shore Honu (Hawaii) downed West Oahu 14-7. Moore Named to Houston's 2008 Coaching Staff
When Jackie Moore polished off his eighth season with Round Rock earlier this month, he assured fans he wanted to stick around for his 51st year in professional baseball. On Sunday, the skipper kept his promise.
