Longhorns picked to host regional of 2010 Coaches vs. Cancer Classic

Texas was named to the field of the 2010 Coaches vs. Cancer Classic, which will run Nov. 8-19. The Longhorns will host regional round games in Austin from Nov. 8-12. They will automatically advance to the semifinals at Madison Square Garden on Nov. 18-19. No. 16 Pittsburgh, No. 19 Maryland and Illinois were also picked as hosts. Rhode Island, College of Charleston, Illinois-Chicago, Louisiana Tech, Navy, Seattle, Toledo and UC-Irvine are also among the field....

Mike Leach has been scheduled to answer questions under oath later this week in his lawsuit against Texas Tech, The Associated Press reports. Court documents say the deposition by attorneys for Texas Tech is set for Friday. Sophomore Aggie guard Dash Harris still doesn't know the status of the right wrist injury he aggravated during the team's 69-54 win over Oklahoma on Saturday. SMU point guard Derek Williams and forward Papa Dia earned third team honors in the All-Conference USA team released Monday. Williams is averaging 16.6 points and 3.6 assists. Seniors Donald Sloan and Bryan Davis got some good news Sunday when the Big 12 season-ending awards were announced. Sloan joined five others on the All-Big 12 First Team. In taking a hard fall in Texas A&M's 69-54 victory over Oklahoma on Saturday, A&M sophomore guard Dash Harris aggravated a right wrist injury that has nagged him all season.
