SURPRISE, Ariz. - The revamped Rangers will see the entire AL West over the first half of the week. They certainly didn't make much of an impression on the defending division champs Monday.

SURPRISE, Ariz. - Tanner Scheppers is making some kind of impression on Rangers' folks this spring. In a "B" game Monday, he made his second appearance of the spring and pitched two scoreless innings against Kansas City, showing off a sharp curve ball for the first time.

SURPRISE, Ariz. - Ready for Rosterology (take that ESPN marketing geniuses!), Part 3? First, you can familiarize yourself with Parts 1 and 2, if you wish. At least now we have some guys - three of them - on which to base roster decisions. The only place where there has been real uncertainty to this point is on the bench and that's liable to remain an issue all spring. But the starting rotation and bullpen are looking like they may be interesting puzzles to piece together.

SURPRISE, Ariz. - Once again it's raining in Surprise, the Seattle of the Southwest. That has forced the Rangers to cancel all their outdoor activities for Sunday, including a "B" game against Kansas City and the full exhibition that was to be played against Cleveland in Goodyear.
