SURPRISE, Ariz. - With Tom Hicks and Nolan Ryan on hand, the Rangers will look to extend their dominance of the Kansas City Royals to two straight games this spring, starting right about ... now. Of significant interest will be the performances of LHP C.J. Wilson and RHP Neftali Feliz, who are scheduled to pitch this afternoon. SURPRISE, Ariz. - Upon arriving at spring training Friday, Rangers president and soon-to-be minority owner Nolan Ryan held to his prediction of 92 wins for the team, but said he wasn't setting any benchmarks the club had to hit.

SURPRISE, Ariz. - Calling it a "bittersweet moment," Tom Hicks arrived Friday for what he expects will be his last spring training excursion as principal owner of the Rangers. While watching batting practice, Hicks said he believes the sale process will be finalized to transfer ownership to a group headed by Chuck Greenberg and Nolan Ryan.

SURPRISE, Ariz. - A day after manager Ron Washington pronounced the catching battle was dead even, incumbent Jarrod Saltalamacchia served notice that he doesn't intend to relinquish his position easily. Saltalamacchia hit a a 2-2 pitch from former Atlanta Braves organization-mate Kyle Davies for a three-run homer to give the Rangers the lead for good on Thursday.
