George Hicks

George Hicks, 82, of Conroe, TX funeral services will be held Friday, March 5, 2010 at 10 am in Cashner Colonial Chapel with Rev. Lloyd Maddoux officiating. Entombment will follow in Garden Park Cemetery’s Chapel in the Park Mausoleum

Mr. Hicks was born August 16, 1927 in Baytown, TX and passed away on March 1, 2010 in Conroe, Texas. He was a member of the First Assembly of God Church. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ailene Hicks, and brother, Austin Earl Hicks. He survived by his son, Ron Hicks and Alex of Montgomery; grandchildren, Rachele Gressett and husband Bryan of Argyle and Brittany Hicks of Montgomery; great grandchildren, John M. Slaga and Brooke Gressett, both of Argyle; brothers, Gene and Norma Hicks of Crosby and Roy and Margie Hicks of Newton.Numerous other friends and relatives also survive.

Sherrolyn Jean DeLisio

Sherrolyn Jean DeLisio, 61, of Denton passed away on Monday, March 1, 2010 at her residence. She was born on June 18, 1948 in Boise Idaho. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. Sherrolyn was an avid reader. She enjoyed sewing, needlepoint and numerous other crafts.

A visitation with the family will be on Friday, March 5, 2010 from 12:30-2pm at the Denton Funeral Home Chapel with a memorial service to follow at 2:30pm. Popo Gonzalez will officiate.

Survivors include her mother, Dorothy Romp of Washington; son, Christopher DeLisio of Fort Worth, TX; daughters, Mollie Avelino of Austin, TX and Jaclyn Salgado of Denton, TX; two brothers; two sisters; grandchildren, Derek Westervelt, Francisco Avelino, Celia and Karinna Salgado, and Samantha DeLisio; and numerous extended family members.

Services are under the direction of Denton Funeral Home and Cremation Services.
