Bridges & Blinking Lights frontman Jake Wilganowski says that the band's experience on local stages is what inspired its approach to making a sophomore record. The just-released 'Heroes, Guns & Snakes' was co-produced by Echo Lab engineer (and Centro-matic member) Matt Pence, and recorded in a more simple fashion than its predecessor.

Q&A: Chris Freeman of Manchester Orchestra
Manchester Orchestra had a breakout year in 2009. The Atlanta indie band's second album, 'Mean Everything to Nothing,' reached No. 37 on the Billboard charts, buoyed by the single "I've Got Friends." The group made the late-night rounds (Letterman, Conan, Fallon), and had songs featured on (of all things) 'Gossip Girl' and '90210'.
