New FMLA Rules in Effect
New regulations affecting the Family and Medical Leave Act have been adopted by the U.S. Department of Labor and became effective Jan. 16, 2009. The rules create new requirements and procedures for both employers and employees taking FMLA leave, and implement the new military family leave created by Congress in 2008.
