Continental Avenue Bridge and West Dallas Gateway Open
The City of Dallas and the Trinity Commons Foundation opened Continental Avenue Bridge and West Dallas Gateway on Father’s Day, June 15 with help from thousands of people. The newest Trinity River corridor amenity is open from 5:00 a.m. until 11:00 p.m. with passive and active programmed areas. For a daily schedule of activities visit DallasContinentalBridge.com
The new 4.6 mile Trinity Skyline Trail opened on June 15 at the Trinity River Revel celebration with 300 runners challenging each other in the inaugural 5K Revel Run. The trail is open to the public and ready for hiking and biking.
2014 Trinity River Photo Contest Begins

Dallas get outdoors this summer and photograph your favorite spot along the Trinity River. The 6th Trinity River Photo Contest begins on June 1 and ends on October 15. Schedule a staycation at the Trinity to see all the new places such as the Pavilion and Amphitheater at the Santa Fe Trestle Trail (1837 E. 8th Street), Cedar Creek Overlook which can be assessed from the Santa Fe Trestle Trail, Trinity Forest Trails (4750 Great Trinity Forest Way, 4969 River Oaks, or 5215 Simpson Stuart), Continental Avenue Bridge West Dallas Gateway and the Trinity Skyline Trail (both opening June 15). It's a great time to visit the Trinity.

Dallas Floodway Public Hearing
The Fort Worth District, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has posted the Draft Feasibility Report and the Draft Environmental Impact Statement )EIS) for the Dallas Floodway Project. A National Environmental Policy Act Public Hearing was held on May 8, 2014 at Dallas City Hall, 1500 Marilla, L1FN Auditorium from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. Written comments must be postmarked on or before June 2, 2014, to the address immediately above, or sent by email to marcia.r.hackett@usace.army.mil.
