Fulbright & Jaworski has new Austin partner-in-charge
Fulbright & Jaworski LLP, an international law firm, named Butch Hayes partner-in-charge at its Austin office.
Hayes will oversee 90 lawyers and 100 staff members at the office.
He succeeds Terry Tottenham, who will continue in an of-counsel capacity with the firm while serving as president of the State Bar of Texas.

Gilbert & Sullivan nonprofit elects new board
The Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Austin, an education and performance nonprofit, recently elected five new members to its board of directors.
Pat Hobbs, Leonard Johnson, Roberta Long, Randall McIntyre and Michael Meigs joined the board.
On Sunday, March 7, the society performs “Musical Rarities from The Yeomen of the Guard.”

New nonprofit appointments
Ted Keyser
Helping Hand Home for Children, which offers residential services and therapeutic care for neglected children, named Ted Keyser executive director. Keyser was general manager of Cordillera Ranch in Boerne.
The newly organized Austin Clubhouse, which offers services and programs for adults with mental illness, named Gordon Butler executive director. Butler previously worked for the Bluebonnet Trails clubhouse program.
The Austin Community Foundation recently appointed new board officers. Sylvia Acevedo, president and chief executive of CommuniCard, is chair of the board of governors. Jolynn Free, a registered investment adviser, is the board chair-elect. Max Sherman, a former state senator, is vice chair.
The Long Center for the Performing Arts named Mark Truett director of marketing and external communication and Jennifer Houlihan director of development. Truett previously worked for Broadway Across America. Houlihan previously was managing director and principal for education at Advancement Solutions Consulting Group.

Robin Melvin, an Austin attorney with Graves, Dougherty, Hearon & Moody PC, was named chair of the Texas Lutheran University Board of Regents. Austin resident Glynn Bloomquist, president and chief executive of Koalaty Products Inc., was re-elected as the board’s secretary.
