Dallas teens film a documentary to help children in Uganda
Rachel Hersh and William Malouf didn't know what to expect when they went to Uganda to film a documentary on Spirit of Uganda, a touring music and dance troupe of Ugandan children who raise money to build schools for themselves and children back home. The company is part of Empower African Children, an organization that is helping further the education of children in Uganda and raise awareness of the high incidence of AIDS and civil wars that affect millions of orphans there.

Take the kids to the Angelika Film Center before the 26th annual USA KidFilm Festival ends Sunday. For just $3 per program, parents can watch films such as The Wizard of Oz, Barbie and the Three Musketeers and a tribute to Aardman Animations with their children.
