About This Blog

This blog was the first in the nation created by an editorial board to give readers a behind-the-scenes view of the discussion that goes into crafting the newspaper’s daily editorials. It includes updates on the work of the editorial staff and debates on general news issues.

We welcome and read all letters from readers. Letters are selected for publication based on their clarity and brevity. They also are chosen to represent a diverse set of views on as many issues as possible.

RICK PERRY WINS REELECTION
MEDINA TURNOUT SHOWS HUGE PERCENT OF TEXANS WANT NEW LEADERSHIP
KBH STUNG BY TERRIBLE CONGRESSIONAL DISAPPROVAL RATINGS IN BID FOR GOVERNORSHIP OF TEXAS.

How about this...

"Medina gets into runoff: Belo to cover only Perry and White"

"Perry to Face White in General Election"

and then about halfway down the article, have one blip about how Debra Medina is facing Perry in the runoff.

Chilean earthquake changes earth's rotation, shortens planet's day. UN panel says that Chinese to all jump up and down at the same time to compensate. Obama pledges congressional action, blames Bush.

"Medina wins GOP Primary, Proceeds to Give Corporate Media a One Finger Victory Salute"

"White beats terrorist!"
(while ignoring Medina's upset of Perry)

The bias of the mainstream news media has never been more evident than in the last few weeks, especially the large dailies. You people are almost as out of touch as Congress is.

Low voter turnout begs the question: Are Tea Partiers the only voters motivated enough to get out and vote in the primary?

PERRY IN RUNOFF WITH DOGCATCHER

Tomorrow's headline?

Perry's attack adds do in Hutchinson - Medina wasn't close.
