Cycle Center of Denton will be moving to a new location 521 Acme St. at the corner of Acme & Ft. Worth Drive at the end of March. Around for three decades, Cycle Center of Denton is a family-owned and operated business offering sales, parts, and accessories for new and pre-owned Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki and Polaris motorcycles, including E-Ton lines of products, ATV's and UTV's. Randy Martin, who acquired the business in 1998 and his partner, Carlos Gonzalez, said that Cycle Center of Denton strives to excel on their customer service. Their new location, a large 30,000 square-foot facility will allow customers to enjoy a bigger and better selection of motorcycles and off-road vehicles, more parts and accessories as well as better service facilities for their vehicles while enjoying a new comfortable atmosphere to shop. The new location will have a conference room, showroom, kid's area, lounge, including a more comfortable service department as well as other amenities. The project has been under construction since last October under the leadership of architect, C2D of Denton and Kimric Construction of Aubrey serving as general contractor. The redesigned building used to be an Affordable Furniture business as well as a Payless-Cashways. Additional information will follow in the Sunday Business column. The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) will have a Vendor Outreach Symposium for minority- and women-owned businesses at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 18 at the Martin Luther King Jr. Recreation Center located at 1300 Wilson St. in Denton. In its sixth program, NTTA, will provide information on how to do business with the NTTA and will provide contract opportunities on future projects, said a news release. A question and answer session will follow as well as peer-to-peer networking. The program is presented in partnership with the Denton Hispanic and Black chambers of commerce. "We are seeking specifically women - and minority-owned enterprises to engage in that dialogue," said Jorge Urbina, president of the Denton Chamber of Commerce, "Unless we have the entities come to Denton, we don't get to learn the many contract opportunities available." The NTTA raises capital for construction projects with turnpike revenue funds and serves four counties including Denton. The tollway system includes the Dallas North Tollway, President George Bush Turnpike, Sam Rayburn Tollway, Addison Airport Toll Tunnel, Lewisville Lake Toll Bridge and the Mountain Creek Lake Bridge. Toll projects are not part of the state highway system and receive no direct tax funding, said the release. To RSVP visit www.NTTA.org/aboutus/who/vendoroutreachsymposium.html.
