Steve Ott just has confirmed this morning that he has agreed to the deal and expects to sign it today. Stars GM Joe Nieuwendyk also has confirmed they have agreed, but that the contract is not signed yet. ``I usually don't like to confirm these things if it isn't signed, but yes, we expect to get it done today.'' Mark Fistric skipped practice because of soreness in his knee, but he's expected to be back on the ice Monday. Everyone else except the Olympians were out there. Jere Lehtinen and Finlands staged a strong comeback Saturday night and beat Slovakia 5-3 to win the bronze medal. Team USA ripped Finland, 6-1 in its semifinal Friday and Canada held off Slovakia, 3-2. Stars captain Brenden Morrow scored his second goal in as many games and had a direct hand in the game-winning goal by Ryan Getzlaf as he was setting up in front of the net when a puck bounced just past his screen and right to Getzlaf. They had a full complement out there (except for the Olympians) and went through a spirited workout for about an hour. Steve Ott (appendectomy) and Mark Fistric (arthroscopic knee surgery) both practiced hard. They did not get much physical action, but both look good and both say they want to be ready for Tuesday's game against the Kings. Any team can claim him before 11 a.m. Saturday, and the team with the worst record that puts in a claim will get him.
