If you believe the world is scary place, it will be for you. I don't live in that world. I live in one in which my original thoughts and ideas are exposed and are appreciated...and that's true for me.

Beautifully introspective piece. Where did it all start that we had to start labeling our connection with spirit insteading of just enjoying it and appreciating its wisdom and guidance? Thank you. I think many of us have asked the same question you have and decided to just live in the present moment not worrry about a religious label.

Indeed. If more us woke up to that realization, our world would be a more peaceful place. Perhaps it starts with us--one at a time.

For sure. I find that the more deeply into connect with some Spirit the less I know or care how to define it. I certainly don't judge others who find structure a source of solace. But for me it is in this world and in my connection to the things I find beautiful and fall in love with that I find God.

The issues that many people have with organized Christianity are the same issues that Jesus had with the Pharisees. If I think, then the world can be a scary place. Highly intelligent people are more frequently depressed. Christianity can be a ritual hiding place.

Living with thought bare and exposed, without the protection of being told how to think, without knowing whether one will be ostracized for originality - this is not safe.
