For those who haven't seen it yet, here is columnist Tim Cowlishaw's take on the Team USA win over Canada in hockey on Sunday....

After its 5-3 win over Canada Sunday, Team USA is the top-seeded team in the Olympic tournament. It will get the day off today, get a bye on Tuesday and then on Wednesday play the winner of the Switzerland-Belarus game. Canada, meanwhile, has to play Germany on Tuesday for a chance to play Russia on Wednesday in the quarterfinals. Talk about decidedly different paths. I'm running errands this week and catching up on a lot of things, so I didn't feel like I could have an ongoing chat about Olympic games. But that doesn't mean we can't have an Olympic discussion thread. You guys get to steer the discussion in this one, and I'll probably just bump this thread up every day during pool play. First of all, Brandon Worley over at Defending Big D does an incredible job of scouting and breaking down the game of new goalie Kari Lehtonen. It will be very interesting for fans to try to go through this transition into a new era, as Lehtonen is completely different than Marty Turco in his approach to the game. I talked to Stars GM Joe Nieuwendyk briefly, and he reiterated that he would prefer to not have three goalies here past the March 3 trade deadline. But even he doesn't know how all of this will shake out. He has to be open to considering a trade for Marty Turco. Nice update on the Texas Stars on Defending Big D, where they point out that former Stars prospect Ivan Vishnevskiy (after being part of the Kari Lehtonen trade) was assigned by Atlanta to their AHL affiliate (the Chicago Wolves) and the Wolves were in Cedar Park for two games last weekend. If you have Presidents' Day off and you're in the Allen area, stop by the Allen Events Center for a 1 p.m. game between the Americans and the Brahmas. The Dallas Stars are officialy in ninth place according to the NHL standings. They were briefly in eighth place, but Calgary leap-frogged them with a 3-1 win over Anaheim. It appears that's where Dallas will stay for the length of the Olympic Break, despite some games on Sunday. The Stars and Detroit Red Wings have identical records right now. Marty Turco is on fire right now. He's seeing the puck well, he's in the right place, and he's getting lucky at times. He did all three things Saturday in a 3-0 win over the Phoenix Coyotes.
