HOROSCOPES BY HOLIDAY BY HOLIDAY MATHIS FOR RELEASE: TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 23, 2010

The Gemini moon goes void of course, putting the kibosh on some of our brainy plans. That's the wonderful thing about brainstorming: If one idea doesn't work, you can storm up another round until you find something that will. It's simply a matter of moving forward. Tonight's Cancer moon lulls us into a relaxing domestic rhythm.

ARIES (March 21-April 19). As much as you would like to assert yourself, you'll probably hold back. You know you'll get what you want if you push a little. But you're not sure it's the move that is best for everyone. Stall until you feel certain.

TAURUS (April 20-May 20). You have your own way of dealing with things, and loved ones find this amusing, interesting, maddening and endearing -- depending on the day. Today, you'll mostly make them laugh.

GEMINI (May 21-June 21). You and a loved one agree: The success of your relationship is more important than the success of either individual. Your willingness to support each other will allow you to win together.

CANCER (June 22-July 22). Instead of turning in the same old work for your paycheck, you will boldly follow your creative muse. If you continue in this direction, you'll soon be doing exactly what you want to be doing and making money at it.

LEO (July 23-Aug. 22). Passion fuels action. You have a goal already, so what can you do to turn up the intensity of feeling behind it? Increase your motivation and the probability of getting there will be greatly increased.

VIRGO (Aug. 23-Sept. 22). Someone may flake out on you. This is not a personal rejection and should not be taken as such. However inconvenienced you may feel in the moment, you'll soon find the perfect person to fill in.

LIBRA (Sept. 23-Oct. 23). In every task to be done there is a point of diminishing returns. The wise person recognizes when this milestone has been passed. When the job is done, stop. Don't overwork it.

SCORPIO (Oct. 24-Nov. 21). You have your favorite times of the day. Then there are those hours that are less fun. Maybe you're even dreading a part of today. Do some mental work. Find something to love about each phase before you enter it.

SAGITTARIUS (Nov. 22-Dec. 21). You'll succeed by saying "yes" as much as possible. The job you don't think you have time for will be the one that opens new worlds for you. And the new people you meet will inspire you.

CAPRICORN (Dec. 22-Jan. 19). You know what you're good at, and you do it over and over today. This is how you'll set yourself apart from the crowd. Keep up this trend over the next three weeks and special recognition will soon come your way.

AQUARIUS (Jan. 20-Feb. 18). You are entering an explosively productive and creative period. Expect to get some odd looks from strangers. They aren't used to seeing someone so filled with buoyant imagination come bouncing down the street.

PISCES (Feb. 19-March 20). Dissecting someone else's work will be an excellent way to keep you on track with your own. You'll objectively recognize what is essential and effective. But you won't imitate. Instead, you'll put your own spin on it.

TODAY'S BIRTHDAY (Feb. 23). There's a wonderful self-confidence starting to take hold. You'll devote yourself to improving your physique, and this pays off in June with an enhanced self-image and compliments that make your heart sing. March gives you a leg up at work. New employment starts in May. A loved one makes you proud in August. Aries and Gemini people adore you. Lucky numbers are: 5, 20, 17, 31 and 12.

ASTROLOGICAL QUESTIONS: "I'm an air sign. Does this mean I'm an airhead?"

Only in the sense that your head is always full of ideas, and ideas have that elusive, ethereal quality to them. The air signs -- Gemini, Libra and Aquarius -- are the thinkers of the zodiac. You may find yourself staring into space, lost in deep thought as you analyze the solution to world hunger. But to someone passing by your office, you'd look like you're just zoning out and goofing off. Well, what is thinking supposed to look like? Alas, to be brilliant is to be misunderstood. Don't let it get you down, and please don't overanalyze this to death like you are prone to do. You'll only drive yourself crazy. This world needs your intellect, eloquence and sense of justice for all. Just don't forget to come back down to terra firma every now and then to ground your ideas in reality. Ideas only benefit others when they're shared and are no longer the exclusive property of your mind. At some point you need to stop thinking and start doing. That's when the world will start to recognize and reward your uniqueness.

CELEBRITY PROFILES: Pisces is the sign of old souls. It is not uncommon for Pisces people to know their career path at a very young age. Perhaps this partially explains why, at the ripe old age of 16, Dakota Fanning has over 40 film and television credits to her name. This Pisces born under an entertaining Leo moon remains the youngest person to be nominated for a Screen Actors Guild award.
