We are into the final hours before national signing day, and UNT has 15 players on the board in what will be a pretty good class, regardless of what happens the rest of the way.

I am a little surprised that UNT hasn't landed any JUCO defensive ends yet. I thought that ranks as a huge need area. The lack of an immediate impact middle linebacker is also a bit of a mystery. I would project all of UNT's JUCO signees as outside linebackers, and I wouldn't expect Zach Orr to start as a freshman

UNT is loading up on defensive backs, despite bringing three of its four starters back. Gary DeLoach will have more to work with next season. If your a UNT fan, that has to be something to be excited about.

UNT has at least a couple of other recruits on the board that we don't know about at this point. I would assume one is a quarterback, and the other couple are defensive linemen. I can't imagine UNT could go into next season with at least another couple of options after finishing the season near the bottom of the national standings in sacks.

It was kind of a beating getting back to Denton from Middle Tennessee and Western Kentucky due to the snow and a travel snafu, but it was not a great night at MTSU.

You could pretty much see a blowout in the women's game coming. UNT poked the sleeping dragon after getting blown out last season. MTSU remembered it and ran UNT out of the gym in a 68-point thrashing.

The UNT men were right there at the end, but couldn't get over the hump. Eric Tramiel hardly played due to foul trouble. It's hard to win when maybe the best power forward in the conference is on the bench.

UNT might not win the West, but it will be a threat to win the Sun Belt tournament if it can get healthy in time.
