The Medicaid Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) is one of a series designed to provide guidance on the implementation of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA), Public Law 111-5. The FAQs address questions that have been submitted to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid ARRA mailbox, CMSOARRAQuestions@cms.hhs.gov. Future FAQs letters are currently in clearance and will be issued in the coming weeks and months.

Grants to all 50 States and the District of Columbia for the 1st Quarter of FY 2010 were made during the week of October 4th.

Grants to all 50 States and the District of Columbia for the 2nd Quarter of FY 2010 were made during the week of January 3rd. In addition, the annual grants to the were made to the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the U.S. territories.

During the week of January 3rd, adjustments were made to the FY 2009 grants for the States of Michigan and Utah.
