Welcome to the YouTube Data API discussion group!

This is a forum dedicated to the exchange of information and opinions related to the topics listed below. This is not a forum about the YouTube.com site itself. This group is regularly monitored by various YouTube employees who will pop in from time to time to make announcements, answer questions, or solicit feedback. We also have a friendly API Guru, Stephen Mesa, who often provides thoughtful advice. Keep in mind that new posters are moderated so there may be a delay (particularly on the weekends) before your initial posts are approved. This is done to guard against spam.

The YouTube Data API [PHP, Java, .NET, Python, JavaScript, Protocol (HTTP+XML)]
The Data API lets you incorporate YouTube functionality into your own application or website. You can perform searches, upload videos, create playlists, and more.

The YouTube Player APIs [ActionScript, JavaScript ]

The Player APIs give you control over YouTube video playback on your website. Configure basic settings, drive the player interface, or even build your own player controls.
