Kalish Named Executive Director to the President at UNT Health Science Center
M. Christine Kalish, MBA, was recently named executive director to the president at UNT Health Science Center.
She replaces Patti Lloyd, an employee of the health science center for 23 years who recently retired from the institution for health reasons. Kalish has been employed at the health science center since 2004 as administrative director in the Department of Internal Medicine.
“Ms. Kalish has a track record of effective experience in leading clinical, research and academic programs,” said Scott Ransom, DO, MBA, MPH, president of the health science center. “She will be an excellent partner as we take the health science center toward a brighter future.”
Kalish began her new duties Aug. 30. She serves as a member of the president’s executive staff, working collaboratively with the senior leadership at the health science center. Kalish is responsible for the efficient operation of the president’s office, including management of his office budget and staffing. In this position, Kalish will be advancing the goals and programs of the president and seeking input from various groups throughout the institution and community.
Kalish earned a master’s of business administration from Texas Christian University’s M.J. Neeley School of Business. She earned a bachelor of science degree in health services administration from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas. She was named to the 2005 class of Leadership Texas and has served on various local and national boards.
A native of St. Louis, Mo., Kalish currently resides in Fort Worth.
