School of Health Professions
Our School of Health Professions will soon offer a new degree program, a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree, through its Department of Physical Therapy. Physical therapy faculty will team up with Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine physicians and specialists to offer unparalleled training in musculoskeletal and orthopedic practices, and osteopathic manipulative therapy techniques. Students will have the unique opportunity to utilize the resources of the Health Science Center's Physical Medicine Institute.
Physical therapy classes are scheduled to begin in July 2010.
The School of Health Professions currently offers a master's degree program in Physician Assistant Studies which recently was ranked 34th in the nation by U.S. News and World Report. Classes for the next physician assistant studies class begin in July 2010.
Physical therapy students will have the opportunity to utilize the resources of the Health Science Center's Physical Medicine Institute.
