New Hire Process

Please note that incomplete or missing forms or documents will result in a delay of the employee's EIS access, initial paycheck, benefits enrollment, and ability to attain a parking permit.

HR Services meets with all new retirement-eligible Staff and Faculty members (excluding adjuncts under 100% FTE) on the initial day of employment.


New Hire Forms

Prior to the inital day of employment, the following information should be forwarded to Human Resources:

  • Criminal History Check Authorization Form completed and signed by applicant
  • Payroll Authorization Form (HRM-6)
  • Staff Application Form printed from the PeopleAdmin system (since all applicants are now required to apply online), and signed by the new hire.
  • Documentation of at least two employment verifications
  • Official transcript(s) of highest degree earned or hours completed if required for position OR was a selection factor for the vacancy.
  • Certification documentation – if a professional certification or affiliation is either a required qualification or a selection factor for the vacancy.

New Hire Information

The New Hire Informational Packet contains all of the required information that we must provide new hires upon employment. This packet should be printed and provided to the employee to review and for future reference.

Adjuncts & Salaried Positions

Adjuncts who are 100% FTE meet with HR Services on the initial day of employment.  Adjunct positions that are less than 100% FTE do not meet with HR Services.  Paperwork for adjunct positions less than 100% should be completed by the department and forwarded to Human Resources.

The Salaried New Hire Forms Packet contains the forms that should be completed and forwarded within the first three days of employment for adjuncts who are less than 100% FTE and all other salaried positions.
