Message from the President

Dr. Gretchen M. Bataille

UNT President Gretchen M. BatailleUNT is continuously evaluating and updating its emergency plans and procedures to address evolving threats. The university has established a coordinated approach to natural and man-made disasters in combination with our constituencies.

I encourage you to take simple steps to be prepared, such as regularly updating your contact information on Eagle Alert, building an emergency kit, having an emergency plan of action and staying informed. As a member of the UNT community, you also can keep our campus safe by being attentive to your surroundings and reporting any suspicious activity. These actions will help maintain the campus' safe environment and promote awareness.

We created this web site to streamline resources for the UNT community, as well as to provide guidelines for you, your department and family on ways to prepare and respond in the event of an emergency. If you have any comments or need further assistance, please contact Luis Tapia, our Emergency Management Planning Coordinator at 940-369-8130.
