Gifted and Talented Education

This program trains teachers, administrators, and counselors in understanding the cognitive and affective characteristics and needs of gifted children, developing programs, assessments, and curriculum to meet those needs. The four graduate course sequence is appropriate for gifted education specialists, classroom teachers with gifted in their rooms, administrators or counselors with responsibilities for gifted programs, or parents who want a deeper understanding of their gifted and talented children and appropriate school interventions. The Graduate Certificate in Adult Learning and Education provides graduate education for the development of professional educators in formal and informal learning contexts for adults in institutions offering instruction and learning for adults.
