On October 9, 2009, Secretary of Commerce Gary Locke and Assistant Secretary Lawrence E. Strickling hosted a teleconference with Native American
Tribal Leaders regarding the Broadband Technology Opportunities Program (BTOP).
NTIA’s TV Converter Box Coupon Program reimbursed retailers for 65,347 coupons with a value of $2,613,541.
Cumulatively, NTIA’s TV Converter Box Coupon Program has accepted requests for 14,640,384 coupons with a value of $585,615,360 and has reimbursed retailers for 7,323,446 coupons with a value of $292,899,493.
