DoD 5015.02-STD RMA Design Criteria Standard
The current version of DoD 5015.02-STD, signed 25 April 2007, defines the basic requirements based on operational,
legislative and legal needs that must be met by records management application (RMA) products acquired by the
Department of Defense (DoD) and its Components. It defines requirements for RMA's managing classified records
and includes requirements to support the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), Privacy Act, and interoperability.
The National Archives and Records Administration endorsed the April 2007 version of DoD 5015.02-STD for use by all Federal Agencies.
Version 2 of DoD 5015.2-STD, June 2002, defined the basic requirements based on operational, legislative
and legal needs that must be met by records management application (RMA) products acquired by the Department of
Defense (DoD) and its Components. It also defined requirements for RMA's managing classified records. This version is
made available to provide information to vendors, developers, and users.

Federal Agencies.
