Dirt Rider magazine offers sneak peek at 2013 KTM 450 SX-F factory edition

By: GRINDTV

With the passing of each and every indoor and outdoor season, it becomes more of an honor to ride underneath the increasingly competitive orange semi. And with premiere class rider Ryan Dungey's recently acquired 2012 AMA Motocross Championship, it is obvious that team Red Bull KTM has what it takes to win. In previous years a rider may have passed up a KTM contract while the team was still growing and finding its place among American soil. With the solid lineup of Dungey on KTM's 450 SX-F factory edition and Ken Roczen and Marvin Musquin riding the 250 SX-F, there's no denying that we will see an orange fender up on the podium.

Dirt Rider magazine was recently invited to KTM's headquarters in Murrieta, California, to meet the team and get a quick rundown on RD5's new whip for the year: the 2013 KTM 450 SX-F Factory Edition. To see what Dirt Rider thought about it, click here.

Bike magazine reviews the Norco Shinobi 2

By: GRINDTV

Bike magazine recently had a ride on the Norco Shinobi 2, and they began their review of it with this: "Norco's Shinobi is designed for all-day, all-mountain riding with big climbs and big descents. Its frame is packed with well-thought-out features including post-style disc brake mounts, Syntace's 142 x 12 axle system, a spare derailleur hanger bolt (that threads into the frame by the bottom bracket for storage), and a headtube that is extra short in order to keep the front end from feeling a mile high with the long legged 140-millimeter fork and 29-inch wheels." To read what else they had to say about the bike, click here, or click the photo below.

Video: GoPro Red Bull Rampage 2012

By: GRINDTV

The quality of POV cameras continues to evolve at an impressive rate. Proof? The following video from this year's Red Bull Rampage was shot on GoPros-cameras that just about anyone can afford. Sure, there's no substitute for outstanding video editing (which this video has plenty of), but still. ... When you consider that this footage was captured on a bunch of $400 cameras, it kind of blows your mind.

Daily Grind: SUP the mag releases Celestial Falls photo book

By: Courtney Baird

SUP the mag recently released a stunning photo book by Charlie Munsey that documents paddler Dan Gavere as he navigates the Celestial Falls in Oregon. The book also features audio by Gavere, who talks about finding the falls much bigger than when he had scouted them and why his favorite part of any fall is right at the lip--it's the part where he's in control but he's past the point of no return. To listen to the full audio and see the entire photo book, click here, or click the photo below.

Wanted: Obey Explorer Gloves

By: GRINDTV

Urbanwear company Obey releases its own version of "homeless chic" with this year's Explorer Gloves. Available in a heather charcoal colorway, the fingerless gloves are made of 100 percent acrylic material but feature a suede-reinforced palm for increased grip. The gloves are meant to be thrown on for short exposures to the cold, providing just enough warmth to maintain that level of dexterity and function. By keeping the fingertips open, the gloves actually allow for easy use of our mobile devices, an essential and not-overlooked feature these days. If you're looking for a quick fix to the frozen extremity conundrum, look no further than the Obey Explorer Gloves, masters of fingerless function. MSRP $36.00 --Kade Krichko
