Warriors suspend Jackson for two preseason games

Stephen Jackson will miss Golden State's next two preseason games.
Palm Springs, CA (Sports Network) - The Golden State Warriors suspended guard/forward Stephen Jackson for two preseason games for conduct detrimental to the team, the club announced Saturday.

Jackson received five fouls plus a technical foul in less than 10 minutes of playing time versus the Lakers during Friday's exhibition contest.

The nine-year veteran will miss Golden State's next two preseason games -- Saturday versus the Suns and Monday against the Clippers.

Philadelphia, PA (Sports Network) - It's tough to upstage the debut of two mega-stars playing together for the first time, but that's exactly what happened in Akron, Ohio on Saturday.

"The King" -- LeBron James -- and his shiny new bauble, 14-time All-Star center Shaquille O'Neal, made their first public appearance together as Cavaliers teammates at the University of Akron's Rhodes Arena, the building where James burst on to the national scene while playing many of his high school games.
