All data currently available on Recovery.gov has been provided by federal agencies receiving Recovery Act funds. On this page you can download the agencies’ Financial and Activity Reports in Excel spreadsheets. The data on Contracts, Grants, and Loans from Federal Procurement Data Systems and USASpending can be downloaded in XML format.
After October 15, 2009, you will be able to download the data reported by recipients on contracts they received; after October 30, 2009, the recipient data on grants and loans will be here as well.
Financial and Activity Reports: Federal agencies receiving Recovery Act funds are required by the Recovery Act to submit weekly reports detailing their latest Recovery activities. These reports give regular updates to government officials, Congress, and the public on how the agencies are spending the funds, and list the agency’s major actions related to the Recovery Act. Spending data covers total dollars made available (obligation), and total dollars paid out (gross outlays).
All Financial and Activity Reports are listed below from the most recent to the oldest. You can filter for a specific agency by using the dropdown list. To view a file, right-click on the report you want, click “Save Target As”, and choose a location to save it.
Grants, Loans, and Contracts XML Data: That data from Federal Procurement Data System and USASpending is provided below in XML format. Note: These XML files are very large.
Contracts: Source is the Federal Procurement Data System (https://www.fpds.gov/)
Grants: Source is USASpending (http://www.usaspending.gov/)
Loans: Source is USASpending (http://www.usaspending.gov/)
Note: For the sake of transparency, Recovery.gov posts reports from the agencies exactly as the reports are submitted. For readability and clarification, misspellings, spacing, hyperlinks, and broken links may be corrected.
