GS-0150-04/05, Web Support - Job Description:

The United States Geological Survey (USGS), an agency of the Department of the Interior, seeks a student for a web support position.

Duties include:

  1. Developing new web pages and helping to maintain public and internal web sites and applications using ASP, ASP.NET, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
  2. Basic database administration and design using MS Access and SQL Server 2005
  3. Illustration/graphic editing and design using Adobe CS products
  4. Assisting users in resolving database and web related problems
  5. Alerting lead web developer and IT Chief of critical software and security updates that need to be applied

Experience using the following preferred: Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Illustrator, MS Visual Web Developer, VBScript, ASP.NET, AJAX, Visual Basic, JavaScript, MS Access, SQL Server 2005

Job requires minimum 15 hours per week. US citizenship required.
