The United States Geological Survey (USGS), an agency of the Department of the Interior, seeks a student for a web support position.
Duties include:
- Developing new web pages and helping to maintain public and internal web sites and applications using ASP, ASP.NET, JavaScript, CSS, and HTML
- Basic database administration and design using MS Access and SQL Server 2005
- Illustration/graphic editing and design using Adobe CS products
- Assisting users in resolving database and web related problems
- Alerting lead web developer and IT Chief of critical software and security updates that need to be applied
Experience using the following preferred: Adobe Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Illustrator, MS Visual Web Developer, VBScript, ASP.NET, AJAX, Visual Basic, JavaScript, MS Access, SQL Server 2005
Job requires minimum 15 hours per week. US citizenship required.
