Rockford College President Dr. Robert L. Head will speak at the Defiance College commencement ceremonies on Sunday, May 10. Two-hundred and seven graduates will be awarded diplomas during the 12 noon ceremony on the Colonnade Green in front of the Pilgrim Library.

Jackets Advance to Second Round with Shutout of Trine
Justine Johnston tossed her second-straight shutout, helping Defiance claim a 2-0 victory over Trine University in the opening round of the NCAA Regional Tournament on Thursday. The Jackets improve to 29-14 on the year with the victory, tying the school record for the most wins in a season.

Abraham Lincoln Series
The Role of Myth Versus Reality

Presenter: William C. Harris, Ph.D. is a Professor Emeritus from North Carolina University. He is a recipient of the Lincoln Prize and was awarded the Abraham Lincoln Institute Award.

Exhibit: The exhibit will focus on the multitude of books in print with Abraham Lincoln as the subject.

William Harris will give Lincoln Series Presentation April 26
Dr. William C. Harris, Professor Emeritus from North Carolina State University and recipient of the Lincoln Prize and Abraham Lincoln Institute Award, will be the presenter at the next Lincoln Series event scheduled for Sunday, April 26, at 7:30 p.m. The lecture will be held in Schomburg Auditorium on the campus of Defiance College and is free and open to the public.

Transfer Open House

Thinking about transferring to DC? Then visit campus and get answers to your questions. Talk with the Registrar and have an immediate transcript evaluation, learn about transfer merit awards and financial aid, converse with our faculty on major areas of study, learn about our adult programs including the Fast Track program, hear from current transfer students on why they transferred to DC, and tour our growing campus.  Accepted transfer students will also schedule their classes for the spring semester during the December Open House and for the fall semester during the April Open House.

Detective Camp
The Detectives of Defiance: Got Clue?

Saturday & Sunday, June 27-28

Defiance College’s forensic science, digital forensic science and criminal justice programs will conduct a two-day summer camp for students in grades 8 to 11 on June 27-28.

The Detectives of Defiance: Got Clue? camp will introduce students to crime scene investigations and forensics through a realistic mock crime scene. Students will learn how to search for and collect physical evidence such as fingerprints, shoeprints, and DNA; collect and analyze digital evidence from computers and cell phones; photograph and document a crime scene; interview suspects; and pull it all together to solve the crime. This exciting experience will show the young detectives what really happens “behind the scenes” of popular television shows.
