Boat Registration Renewal

Renew an existing registration using your credit card. You can also update your address and order additional ID cards when you renew.

Before you proceed, you will need to have the following information available:

1. A valid Visa, Mastercard, or Discover credit card. In addition to the registration fee(s), a convenience fee will be applied. The convenience fee is $0.25 plus 2.25% of the total fee(s).
2. The Texas Parks & Wildlife identification number also known as the TX Number. TX Number help

   TX Number help

   The TX number can be found on the registration renewal notice, the certificate of number card or the title. The number consists of four numbers followed by two letters. For example: TX 1234AA.

3. The Last Name of the primary Owner (1st owner listed) or the Business Name.  Name help

   This can be found on the renewal notice, the certificate of number card, or the title to the boat.

4. In order to report a change of address, you will need to enter either the serial number of the boat or the title number.  Serial / Title Number help

   This serial number can be found on the certificate of number card or the title and typically consists of a combination of 12 numbers and letters. For example: ABC12345D708 - boats older than 1973 will not follow this format. The title number can be found in the upper right hand corner of the title.
