The Dove Springs Recreation Center opened its doors on March 28, 1998 to provide citizens of the Dove Springs community recreational and educational resources.

The 20,000 square foot center contains: full court gymnasium, weight room, arts and crafts room/computer lab, class room, dance studio, conference room, lobby and television room.
On the property are: 3 baseball fields, 3 soccer fields, 1 swimming pool, 2 outdoor tennis courts, 1 outdoor basketball court, 1 pavilion, 1 playscape, 1 sand volleyball pit, and a nature walking trail.

The Kids Café Program, sponsored by the Capital Area Food Bank, provides nutritional meals for youth in the community. During the school year the program operates from 3:30pm to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. During the summer the program operates from 12noon to 1pm, Monday through Friday.
