The City of Freeport now offers several economic development incentives for commercial and residential development.  Some of the programs currently being offered include:

Enterprise Zone Designation, which is an economic incentive for businesses wanting to locate to the area.

·     Tax Increment Financing, which is a tax incentive for development of commercial and/or residential projects.

·     Tax Abatements for commercial and residential projects.

The City of Freeport has several acres of undeveloped land to suit every need. We have waterfront commercial zoning available near the Port of Freeport . We have railroad access and are located within a few short miles to the Brazoria County Airport . We are neighbors to the world’s largest petro-chemical complex.
