Job Description:
Performs advanced technical and administrative support for damage prevention enforcement program. Determine compliance of pipeline operators and excavators digging in the vicinity of underground pipelines with applicable rules and regulations. Responding to high volume of technical calls. High volume review and processing to completion of pipeline operator and excavator submitted reports. Write technical reports of evaluations and investigations. Prepare presentations and conduct information sessions to large audiences regarding applicable laws, rules, on-line reporting and enforcement program process. Must be able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines. Other duties and projects as assigned. Must be able to sit for long time intervals and operate a variety of computer and office equipment. Employee may be required to stoop, reach low and high, push and pull heavy file drawers and/or cart, and lift, carry and move up to fifty pounds. Operation of a car or pickup may be a function of this position. Work may require the ability to work outside in extreme weather conditions. Must be able to walk or stand for a considerable amount of time.
Minimum Qualifications:
B.S. in Engineering. Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university. Experience and education may be substituted on a year for year basis. Knowledge of technical and administrative procedures. Proficient in personal computer operations and MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and web page based data entry and query. Must have the ability to implement technical and administrative procedures, to interpret rules, regulations, policy and procedures, to communicate effectively and to train others. Knowledge of Damage Prevention and Pipeline Safety rules and regulations. Knowledge of engineering techniques and theories. Ability to apply engineering concepts to conduct inspections. Bilingual in Spanish preferred. Travel is required to collect data, complete investigations for training on safety evaluations, or to present educational materials to regulated industry. Typing and data entry is required. Exceptional organizational skills are required.

Candidates will be considered for a salary commensurate with their experience level. Job requires working hours of 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
