Economic Development
The Buda Economic Development Corporation (Buda EDC) was established by voter approval in May, 2001. The Corporation is governed by a seven member Board of Directors as appointed by Mayor and Council. The mission of the Buda EDC is to provide leadership in creating and pursuing balanced economic growth by recruiting and retaining desirable diverse businesses and developing infrastructure while protecting the quality of life and natural resources in the Region. Buda EDC exists and functions as allowed by the Development Corporation Act of 1979 (Texas Revised Civil Statutes Article 5190.6).
