Computer Lab
Internet Access
Each of the libraries has a computer lab with access to the Internet. There is a 1-hour time limit and you must have a library card to use the computer. Children under 18 must have a parent sign a permission form, in person, before they can use the Internet. Printouts cost 10 cents per page.
The Groves Branch Library, 5520 19th Street, has free wireless Internet access.
Word Processing
The Mahon library has 10 computers available for word processing. The branch libraries have two word processing computers each. There is a 1-hour time limit and you must have a library card to use the computer. Printouts cost 10 cents per page.
Other Software
Some of the computers have access to Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and Power Point, as well as some educational games and other programs. Library staff can get you started, but some basic knowledge of computers is necessary.
