Conflicts Disclosure

Chapter 176 of the Texas Local Government Code

In 2005, the Texas legislature enacted House Bill 914 which added Chapter 176 to the Texas Local Government Code. Chapter 176 mandates the public disclosure of certain information concerning persons doing business or seeking to do business with the City of Lubbock, including affiliations and business and financial relationships such persons may have with local government officers. This law also requires local government officers to disclose their relationships with City vendors (including bidders and potential vendors).

In 2007, the Texas legislature enacted House Bill 1491 that made some amendments to the 2005 enactment.
