Alamo Regional Transit

Alamo Regional Transit (ART) provides transportation to the general public in the eleven rural counties in the AACOG Region. The counties are: Atascosa, Bandera, Comal, Frio, Gillespie, Guadalupe, Karnes, Kendall, Kerr, Medina, and Wilson.

To provide quality Public Transportation to all citizens of the Rural Communities of the Alamo Region through shared ideas and coordinated actions to meet the public’s needs for courteous, safe, timely, efficient and responsible transportation.

To assure availability of high quality, efficient, transportation services in the counties ART services. Types of transportation are:

Medical - ART helps the public get to their medical appointments. Examples of medical appointments can be for routine dialysis, routine checkup, dental, physical therapy, and many other types of medical needs.
Youth - ART transports children to and from school that live within the 2-mile radius of their respective school. This has been successful in Boerne in Kendall County, Hondo and Devine in Medina County, and in Seguin in Guadalupe County.
Youth - ART transports children from schools to local day care centers for after school programs.
Senior - ART transports riders that are retired and no longer drive. ART picks the rider up at their home and takes them to the grocery store, medical appointments, to pay bills, to the local senior center for lunch and activities, or to a friend's house to visit.
General Public - ART transports riders to work, to pay bills, to visit a friend, or to go shopping.
