The Display Gardens are designed to demonstrate
the use of companion plantings in the home or commercial garden.
Signs for each plant or grouping are prominently dispayed with plant selections
and color schemes noted.
Most of the plants in the Display Gardens are available at the Wildseed Farms
Plant Nursery.

The Butterfly Haus
Come enjoy our Monarch Butterfly Celebration!
Thrill to the miracle of live butterflies native to Texas at the newest Butterfly
Exhibit in the state! Walk among butterflies feeding and flying in our
3,000 square foot Butterfly Haus. Learn about the individual species
as well as the plants on which they thrive. From the observation
window witness hummingbirds flying and feeding
on our native plants and feeders.

Trial Plots
Our Trial Plots and display gardens are surrounded by a half mile of walking
trails, which in turn are surrounded by acres of production crops.
Wide and wheel chair accessible, the walking trails allow you to stroll at your
leisure and see some of the plant you may want to grow at home. Covered
sitting areas are photo opportunities in their own right, surrounded by flowers,
butterflies, and hummingbirds.
Sit a spell and witness the peace of a visit to nature.

Flower Fields
Our Flower Fields in bloom are one of the most popular destinations in
"The Meadows". Planted for seed production, acres of Texas bluebonnets,
corn poppies, verbenas, and many other species are accessible to the public in
The Meadows area. We anticipate blooms to appear in late March 2009.
Different seasons naturally feature different growth stages of these crops,
and a field of red poppies in the springtime may be a field of cosmos or
zinnias when you come back for a summer visit!

General: $5.00 per person
Seniors (65 & older) & Children (4-12): $4.00 per person
Groups (15 or more) & Active Military (must have ID): $3.50 per person.
Season Passes to "The Meadows" (March-October): $15.00 per person.
