If an Overflow Occurs
Call the City of DeSoto Sewer Maintenance Department 972.230.5724 (7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.) or after hours call 972.780.6641.
If the sewer cleanout is accessible, an emergency crew will be able to determine if the blockage is in the customer’s line or in the City of DeSoto line. If the blockage is in the City of DeSoto line, the crew will be able to break the blockage, ending the back-up. If there is not a cleanout, or if the cleanout cannot be located, you will need to call a plumber to assist with the problem.
